The Ali Jabri Human Heritage Foundation was founded to protect and perpetuate Ali’s inimitable images of Jordan and other elements of national aesthetic heritage and creativity. In keeping with his, and our, constant desire for the protection of the Jordanian environment, a beautiful old house in the historic first circle area of Amman was privately purchased to eventually house Ali’s collection and library and create a living space for the arts and humanities within a home that shall give homage to the early architecture of Amman, in an area where people from all walks of life can savour the fragility of a past that has a lot to offer our future.

The Foundation intends to honour the commitment made to celebrate Ali’s life by endeavouring to assist in the human, aesthetic, artistic, historical and environmental interests of Jordan, sensitive to the living legacy of its people, especially in the South of Jordan where Ali tried to make a difference to the quality of people’s lives as well as record the timeless beauty of our ancestral environment.

In an Arab world that has often been tormented by forced dynamics and lost heritage this initiative aims to safeguard a labour of love, faithfully portraying the country of Jordan over the past near 30 years, through another labour of love undertaken by friends and family, ensuring that what Ali left behind will form the protected and cohesive core of our interest in preserving the beauty of Jordan, within a microcosm of the Arab world.
